Electronics - Only accepts cell phones, computers, computer monitors, printers, DVD players, TVs, VCRs, speakers and other small electronics.
Glass - No TVs, mirrors, light bulbs, windshields/safety glass, fiberglass, or these glass-like items: ceramic, china, porcelain, milk glass, Pyrex, Corningware, Corelle.
Hazardous Waste:
- Leavenworth, Kans. residents only.
- No appointment required.
- Accepts waste from businesses that are Small Quantity Generators. Businesses include: for-profits, nonprofits, churches, schools, home-based businesses, and rental property owners. More info>>
- Does NOT accept: appliances, asbestos, biological waste, commercial waste, controlled substances, electronics, explosives, prescription drugs, medical waste, pressurized gas cylinders (except 1 lb. camp stove / lantern tanks), smoke detectors, tires, and yard waste.
Holiday Lights - Do not accept lights embedded in artificial trees and greenery.
Holiday Trees - Natural holiday trees and greenery. Must remove all plastic and metal components such as lights, decorations, plastic bags and stands. Accepted Dec. 1, 2023 – Jan. 31, 2024 only.
Large Appliances - Provides refrigerant removal from dehumidifiers, air conditioners, freezers, refrigerators, etc.
Lawn Mowers - All fluids must be completely drained before bringing them to be recycled.
Tires - Accepted for a fee.
