A collection event for household hazardous waste will be held on August 13 in Gladstone. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon at Happy Rock Park (North Antioch at 76th Street). 8/20/2022 | Electronics Recycling Event - Kansas City

Kansas City, MO is hosting an electronics recycling event on Saturday, August 20 from 8 a.m. to noon or until the truck is full. The event will be held at the Winnetonka High School parking lot (5815 NE 48th Street). MRC will collect essentially anything with a cord or battery (working or not) during the event. This is a great opportunity to get rid of small appliances, printers, cell phones, or other electronic items for free. There are fees for CRT and LED based items (such as TVs and CRT Monitors). *Location Change* Liberty and Clay County will host a collection event for household hazardous waste on September 10. The event will be held in the parking lot of the Liberty Public Schools Support Services Center located at 801 Kent Street. 291. 9/24/2022 | Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event - Jackson County/Grain Valley

Jackson County and Grain Valley will jointly host a collection event for household hazardous waste on September 24. The event will be held at the Jackson County Public Works facility located at 34900 E. Old U.S. 40 Highway (between Grain Valley and Oak Grove). The Bonner Springs Farmers Market is hosting an electronics recycling event on Saturday, September 24th from 8 a.m. to noon or until the truck is full. The event will be held at 206 E. Cedar Street in Bonner Springs (66012). MRC will collect essentially anything with a cord or battery (working or not) during the event. There are fees for CRT based items (such as CRT TVs and CRT Monitors) and devices containing Freon (such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and dehumidifiers). For more information on fees, please visit the MRC website.

10/01/2022 | Electronics Recycling Event - Parkville

Parkville will host an electronics recycling event on Saturday, October 1 (9 a.m. to noon) in Platte Landing Park 300 Main Street). Open to everyone! Essentially anything with a cord or battery (working or not) is collected. Most items are recycled for free, with some exceptions. More information on items accepted and applicable fees (cash or check) is available on the Midwest Recycling Center website.

10/08/2022 | Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event - Excelsior Springs/Lawson

Excelsior Springs, Richmond and Lawson will jointly host a collection event for household hazardous waste on October 8 in Excelsior Springs.
