6/04/2022 | Recycling Extravaganza - Spring Event - Overland Park

Is it time to let go of some stuff? Overland Park will host a Recycling Extravaganza on Saturday,June 4. Bring your confidential documents (for shredding); mattresses and box springs (fee applies); unwanted medications; fabric; sheets and pillowcases; and resuable items such as usable building materials; clothing and shoes, toys, furniture; and pet supplies. The event will run from 8 am to 2 pm at  Black & Veatch (11401 Lamar Avenue). More information on the city’s website.

Belton and Raymore will jointly host a collection event for household hazardous waste on June 4. The event will be held in the parking lot of the Yeokum Center of Innovation located at 613 Mill Street in Belton. Parkville will host an electronics recycling event on Saturday, June 4 (9 a.m. to noon) in Platte Landing Park 300 Main Street). Open to everyone! Essentially anything with a cord or battery (working or not) is collected. Most items are recycled for free, with some exceptions. More information on items accepted and applicable fees (cash or check) is available on the Midwest Recycling Center website.

6/18/2022 | Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event - Harrisonville

Harrisonville will host a household hazardous waste collection event on June 18. The event will be held at the Streets Department located at 1403 S. Independence. 6/25/2022 | Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event - Lone Jack

Lone Jack along with Lake Lotawana, Lake Winnebago and Greenwood, will jointly host a collection event for household hazardous waste. The event will be held on June 25 from 8 a.m. to noon at Lone Jack High School located at 313 S. Bynum Road. 7/23/2022 | Electronics Recycling Event - Leawood

The Washington Prime Group and the City of Leawood are hosting an electronics recycling event on Saturday, July 23 from 8 am to noon. The event will be held at Town Center Plaza (5000 West 119th Street, Leawood, KS, 66209). MRC will collect essentially anything with a cord or battery (working or not) during the event. This is a great opportunity to get rid of appliances, printers, cell phones, or other electronic items for free. Platte County, Platte City and Weston will jointly host a collection event for household hazardous waste on July 30. The event will be held at Platte Ridge Park (17130 Mo. Lake Lotawana Community United Methodist Church is hosting an electronics recycling event from 8 am to noon. The event will be held in the church parking lot located at 28901 NE Colbern Rd, Lee's Summit, MO 64086.
