4/18/2020 | Recycling Extravaganza - Spring Event - Overland Park

Is it time to let go of some stuff? Overland Park will host a Recycling Extravaganza on Saturday, April 18. Bring your confidential documents (for shredding); usable building materials; clothing, housewares, small appliances, toys and other items; electronics (there is a fee for CRT monitors and TVs); bicycles; fluorescent bulbs (up to 10 per vehicle); fabric and notions; garden tools; gently used shoes; mattresses, box springs and bedding;  and pet supplies. The event will run from 8 am to 2 pm at  Black & Veatch (11401 Lamar Avenue). More information on the city’s website.

The city of Riverside is hosting an electronics recycling event at the Riverside Police Department (located at 2990 Northwest Vivion Road, Riverside, MO, 64150). The event will be held on Saturday, May 16th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm or until the truck is full. At this event, MRC will collect essentially anything with a cord or battery (working or not) during the event. This is a great opportunity to get rid of appliances, printers, cell phones, or other electronic items for free. There is a charge for CRT based items (such as CRT TVs and CRT Monitors). The City of Parkville is holding an electronics recycling event at Parkville City Hall on Saturday, June 6 from 9 a.m. to noon or until the truck is full. There is no residency requirement. MRC will collect essentially anything with a cord or battery (working or not) during the event.
