6/02/2018 | Shred Cancer Shredding Event – Kansas City, KS

ProShred will host a shredding/electronics collection event at their facility located at 3052 South 24th Street in Kansas City, Kansas. The event will be held on Saturday, June 2 from 9:00 am to noon. There is a suggestion donation of $5 per file box. With the exceptions of TVs and CRTS (TVs – $25 CRTs – $15), there is no charge for electronics recycling. All donations from the paper shredding event will go to the American Institute for Cancer Research. The event is open to the public. More information is available here.

6/09/2018 | Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Event - Harrisonville

Harrisonville will host a mobile collection event for household hazardous waste on June 9. The event will be held at the Streets Department located at 1403 S. Independence. 6/12/2018 | Electronics Recycling Event - Parkville

The City of Parkville is holding an electronics recycling event at Parkville City Hall on Tuesday, June 12 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. or until the truck is full. There is no residency requirement. MRC will collect essentially anything with a cord or battery (working or not) during the event. This is a great opportunity to get rid of appliances, printers, cell phones, or other electronic items for free. There is a charge for CRT based items (such as CRT TVs and CRT Monitors). 6/23/2018 | Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Event - Gladstone

Platte County, Platte City and Weston will jointly host a mobile collection event for household hazardous waste on August 25. The event will be held at Platte Ridge Park (17130 Mo. Parkville and Riverside will jointly host a mobile collection event for household hazardous waste on September 15. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon at Platte Landing Park (164 S. Excelsior Springs and Lawson will jointly host a mobile collection event for household hazardous waste on September 22 in Excelsior Springs. Jackson County and Grain Valley will jointly host a mobile collection event for household hazardous waste on October 20. The event will be held at the Jackson County Public Works facility located on Old 40 Highway. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon and is open to members of participating communities. 10/20/2018 | Electronics Collection Event - Independence

The 1st MidAmerica Credit Union is hosting an electronics collection event on Saturday, October 20, from 9:00 am to noon at 19301 East Valley View Parkway in Independence. Most items are free, but there are fees for CRT monitors/TVs, LCD/LED TVs, console or rear projection TVs and Freon containing appliances. Full list of fees is available here.

10/27/2018 | Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event - Lake Lotawana

Lake Lotawana, along with Lone Jack and Greenwood, will jointly host a mobile collection event for household hazardous waste. The event will be held on October 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Lake Lotawana Community United Methodist Church located at 28901 County Hwy 8-S (commonly known as N.E. Colbern Road).
