The city of Parkville is holding an electronics recycling event at Platte Landing Park (8880 Clark Avenue) on Saturday, October 5th from 9 a.m. to noon or until the truck is full. There is no residency requirement. Fees apply for some items. A fee schedule is available here.
The Cass County Sustainability Committee and Meredith Recycling will hold an electronics recycling event on October 19 at the Family Center in Harrisonville (2601 Cantrell Road). The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon. Items accepted include: computers, keyboards, printers, laptops, tablets, cellphones, telephones, LCD/plasma TVs, cassette players, DVD players, CD players and VCRs. Fees will be charged for CRT monitors and TVs. Items not accepted include: CDs, floppy disks, flash drives and VCR tapes. More information is available here.
The 1st MidAmerica Credit Union is hosting an electronics collection event on Saturday, October 19, from 9:00 am to noon at 19301 East Valley View Parkway in Independence. Most items are free, but there are fees for CRT monitors/TVs, LCD/LED TVs, console or rear projection TVs and Freon containing appliances. Full list of fees is available here.
