7/28/2017 | Summer Clean-up Recycling Event - Sprint Center

Sprint Center’s Summer Clean-Up Recycling Event will be held on Friday, July 28 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Barnes Plaza located in front of the Price Chopper Box Office at Sprint Center on Grand Boulevard.

Residents may recycle a variety of items including cables, cable boxes, cellular phones, computers, monitors, DVD players, printers, microwaves, stereos, televisions, VCRs, fans, cameras, hair dryers, clocks and curling irons. There will be a recycling fee of $25 per television and $15 per CRT monitor.  Cash or check to made payable to Secure e-Cycle. A complete list of items eligible to be recycled may be found by visiting Sprint's summer clean-up website. Secure paper shredding and electronics recycling services are provided by Secure e-Cycle, a division of ProShred.

Each guest recycling item(s) during the event on July 28 will have the opportunity to win one of ten pairs of tickets to an upcoming Sprint Center event to coincide with Sprint Center’s 10th Anniversary.

7/29/2017 | Bling Your Binder

Here is an opportunity to get ready for the new school year! Your child will receive a binder and can use all of the materials in the Scraps KC “make and take” space to personalize the binder for school. Saturday, July 29 from 10 AM - 5 PM at Scraps KC (1324 W. 12th Street, Second Floor, Kansas City, Missouri 64101). More information is available on the Scraps KC Facebook page.

Join the Missouri Recycling Association in celebrating its 25th Anniversary! The annual recycling conference will be held August 9-11, 2017 at the Tan-Tar-A Resort located in Osage Beach, Missouri. More information is available here.

8/19/2017 | Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Event - Platte County

Platte County, Platte City and Weston will jointly host a mobile collection event for household hazardous waste on August 19. The event will be held at Platte Ridge Park (17130 Mo. Highway 371) from 8 a.m. to noon. The collection event is open to members of participating communities. The schedule for remaining events can be found here.

9/09/2017 | Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Event - Raymore/Belton

Belton and Raymore will jointly host a mobile collection event for household hazardous waste on September 9. The event will be held in the parking lot of Eagle Glen Intermediate School located at 100 S. Foxridge Road in Raymore. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon and is open to members of participating communities. The schedule for remaining events can be found here.

9/23/2017 | Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Event - Richmond

A mobile collection event for household hazardous waste will be held on September 23 in Richmond. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon in the Richmond City Hall parking lot (205 Summit Street). 10/07/2017 | Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Event - Jackson County/Grain Valley

Jackson County and Grain Valley will jointly host a mobile collection event for household hazardous waste on October 7. The event will be held at the Jackson County Public Works facility located on Old 40 Highway. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon and is open to members of participating communities. 10/28/2017 | Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Event - Liberty

Liberty will host a mobile collection event for household hazardous waste on October 28. The event will be held in the parking lot of Liberty School Services located at 801 Kent Street. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon and is open to members of participating communities. This will be the final mobile collection event for 2017.
