Regional HHW Collection Program Participating Communities
If you are a resident of a community that participates in the Regional HHW Collection Program (see list below), then you are able to take your HHW products to any of the program’s mobile collections or the permanent collection facilities in Kansas City, Missouri, and Lee’s Summit, Missouri at no cost (Proof of residency is required). Please note that pending further notice, the Summit Waste Systems HHW facility is no longer accepting material. Residents of participating communities can take material to the Kansas City HHW facility.
If your community is NOT listed below, you can dispose of HHW at Summit Waste Systems in Lee’s Summit, Missouri for $50 for up to 100 pounds of HHW per visit. Please not that the Summit Waste Systems HHW facility is no longer accepting material. Please contact your city council or county commission and make them aware of the regional HHW collection program.

Unincorporated county membership in the Regional HHW Collection Program allows residents of communities with populations less than 500 to access program services at no charge.
*In Clay County this includes residents of Mosby, Missouri City, Prathersville, Randolph, Birmingham, Holt, Oakview, Oakwood, Oakwood Park and Oaks.
*In Jackson County this includes residents of Levasy, River Bend, Sibley and Unity Village.
*In Platte County this includes residents of Tracy, Platte Woods, Farley, Northmoor, Houston Lake, Iatan, Ridgely, and Ferrelview.
