7/10/2015 | Cell Phone Recycling Event - Kansas City, KS

The Royals will help fans recycle old cell phones at the Sprint Store at Legends Outlets, located at 1813 Village West Parkway in Kansas City, KS, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m on July 10. Participating fans will receive two free Royals tickets to an upcoming 2015 home game while supplies last. Jeremy Guthrie & Sluggerrr will be at the event from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. For more information, visit the Royals website.

7/11/2015 | Electronics Recycling Event - Harrisonville

Meredith Recycling will hold an electronics recycling event on July 11 at the Family Center in Harrisonville (2601 Cantrell Road). The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon. A list of accepted items can be found on the Meredith Recycling website. Fees will be charged for CRT monitors and TVs.

7/18/2015 | Pesticide Collection Event

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will be hosting a pesticide collection event for farmers and households throughout the state of Missouri to properly dispose of unwanted waste pesticides. The event will be held on July 18 in Higginsville from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Lafayette County Road and Bridge Facility located at 19717 Outer Road, Higginsville, Missouri 64037. This event is a free opportunity to properly dispose of pesticides, herbicides, rodenticides and fungicides. Pesticides will not be accepted from businesses, production facilities, distributors or retailers. Additional information regarding the event, materials accepted and recommended safety precautions are available on MDNR’s Pesticide Collection Program website.

8/01/2015 | Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Event - Grain Valley/Jackson County

Grain Valley and Jackson County will jointly host a mobile collection event for household hazardous waste on August 1. The event will be held at the Jackson County Public Works facility located on Old 40 Highway. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon and is open to members of participating communities.
