In celebration of Earth Day, Keep Kansas City Beautiful and Sprint Center are hosting an electronics recycling and paper shredding event at Sprint Center on Wednesday, April 22nd, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. This event is in partnership with ProShred Security, providing both electronics recycling and paper shredding services. Suggested tax-deductible donation of $10 or more. Please note fees that apply: CRT monitors $10 each; TVs $20 each. More information available on the Bridging The Gap website.

4/25/2015 | Northland Recycling Extravaganza

The 2015 Northland Recycling Extravaganza will be held on April 25 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at 6305 NW Riverpark Drive (off Highway 9 between Riverside and Parkville). Some of the items to be collected this year include: oil and anti-freeze, car and NiCad batteries, automobile tires (4 tire limit/no rims), scrap metal, tennis balls, and bikes. Make plans to recycle just about anything you can on Saturday, May 2, the Overland Park Spring 2015 Spring Recycling Extravaganza. The event offers an opportunity to recycle more materials than ever before including fluorescent bulgs, garden tools and gently used shoes. Check out the full list of items accepted on the city's website. The event will be held in the Black & Veatch parking lot located at 11401 Lamar Ave. - Overland Park. Hours: 8 am to 2 pm.
